Winter Semester 2024/2025: A Recap of Progress and Innovations

The winter semester of 2024/2025 has been an exciting and eventful chapter for the IP Plane Project, with numerous milestones reached. The team worked hard to develop both technical and marketing innovations that are pushing the project forward and making it accessible to a broader audience.

Below, we take a look at the key highlights of the semester:

Technical Advancements

Wings Update

In the area of the Wing Team, significant progress was made: the incorrectly positioned drag wires were revisited, reworked, and correctly installed, improving the aerodynamic efficiency of the wing and enhancing overall performance. This was a critical step in further optimizing the aircraft design and ensuring that the flight mechanics meet the highest quality standards.

Avionic achievements

At the Pilot Panel, important improvements were also implemented. The addition of Primer and Engine Start Buttons enhanced the cockpit’s functionality and user experience. Additionally, the Copilot Audio System was integrated, improving communication and interaction within the cockpit, thus completing the pilot experience.

Another major highlight was the complete redesign of the Fuse Panel, which was newly integrated into the aircraft. This innovative component not only improves energy distribution but also increases the aircraft’s safety and reliability.

Engine – New Development

In the Engine section, a significant step forward was achieved: an adapter for the Russian oil tank was designed and is currently in production. This technical innovation will ensure the oil tank is efficiently integrated into the overall system, contributing to the engine’s performance.

Marketing Innovations

In the Marketing field, the IP Plane Project has embraced exciting new approaches. A standout feature was the professional interviews shared on Instagram and TikTok. In these short videos, individual team members introduce themselves, discuss their roles within the project, and provide deeper insights into their tasks and challenges. These interviews give viewers a firsthand look at the project and a better understanding of the diverse disciplines and dedication of the team.

Another highlight was the new „visuals“ presented in an innovative format that visually depict the project’s challenges and progress. These concise, engaging clips appeal to a wide audience and offer an exciting overview of the technical problems and solutions being addressed within the project.

A particularly interesting moment was an interview with a Master’s student in mechanical engineering, who discussed the design of a plastic aircraft. She shared her experiences and insights, which are highly valuable to the IP Plane Project, providing viewers with a unique perspective on the development of innovative project beside the aircraft.
