On May 24th, we received a visit from the examiner, Mr. Poeschel. Since our Pitts model is intended to take flight upon completion of the project, quality and safety are of the utmost importance. Therefore, we have regular inspections in which the Federal Aviation Office is updated (LBA) on the current status of the aircraft construction and alerts us to any errors. For example, wooden corner blocks were used for power transmission on the wing. However, cracks developed in these blocks, posing a threat to the wing’s stability. Due to the potential hazard, some blocks need to be removed and replaced with new ones.
