The open day was a remarkable event held at the university to provide interested individuals with comprehensive information about the university’s study programs and projects. On May 13, 2023, as an integral part of the International Project Engineering degree program, the IP-Plane project proudly showcased its progress by opening the hangar doors wide to visitors.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., enthusiastic attendees had the opportunity to closely examine the aircraft and gather valuable insights. Each design team passionately presented their respective contributions and explained the functionality of their work on the aircraft. However, the event had much more to offer beyond the awe-inspiring aircraft.
In order to give visitors a taste of the flying experience, a captivating flight simulator was set up, enabling everyone to step into the shoes of a pilot. The day was filled with excitement as attendees immersed themselves in this interactive activity. Amidst the technical showcases, attendees had the chance to quench their thirst and enjoy delectable ice cream and refreshing lemonade from our dedicated stand.
To further enhance the vibrant atmosphere, a team of professional DJs skillfully curated a lively playlist of house music, ensuring a continuous flow of positive energy throughout the day.
The success of the open day was evident not only in the high level of visitor engagement but also in the attention it garnered from the press. Overall, the open day was a resounding triumph, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended and further establishing the IPE’s reputation as a leading degree program in the field.
